LUCY FERRISS is the author of six published books of fiction, most recently Nerves of the Heart (U. Tennessee, 2002) and the memoir Unveiling the Prophet (U. Missouri, 2005). Her short fiction and essays have been published widely and she contributes occasionally to the New York Times. She is the Writer-in-Residence at Trinity College in Connecticut.
